Loadstar (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 1984, as a joint venture between the Jinasena Company in Sri Lanka and Solideal of Europe. The joint venture has brought together the proven engineering and management skills of the Jinasena group of companies with the technical know-how in the tyre design and production as well as the capability to market the product globally brought in by Solideal Ltd.

As per the joint venture agreement entered into between the parties, the local collaborators largely handle the production and the engineering functions of the operations while the foreign collaborators handle the designing and the marketing functions of the products. At present Loadstar (Pvt) Ltd is the world market leader in Industrial Solid Tyres and holding the third and fourth places in the world for Industrial Rubber Tracks and Industrial Wheels and Rims respectively. In addition to the above achievements Loadstar (Pvt) Ltd. is the largest contributor to the National Exports of Sri Lanka as a single company, (4% from the total national Export earnings).

A strong dedicated team of employees is the cornerstone of the company’s rapid development. The company employs about 7000 employees who are involved in its production and operational activities. The Loadstar Company manufactures the following products. They are Industrial Solid tyres, industrial pneumatic tyres, and Construction pneumatic tyres, Rubberized tracks, Industrial and Construction wheels and Rims.
