Informatics Institute of Technology was established in 1990 and is the pioneer tertiary education institution providing qualified professionals in the IT sector in particular. IIT has done this in collaboration with leading universities in UK, namely the Manchester Metropolitan University, and the Keele University. IIT has produced over 2500 graduate and postgraduate professionals who have made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. Many of the graduates have obtained employment in premier private sector establishments. Some have ventured to set up their own IT companies, creating considerable knowledge based employment opportunities. A large number of the alumni are employed overseas earning valuable foreign exchange for the country. 

IIT consists of state of art computer laboratories, multimedia and Wifi equipped lecture halls. Its experienced lecture panel fulfills the knowledge thirst of the students. Swimming pool, indoor game complex, library with wide range of books along with the on line libraries provide support to the students harvest the knowledge that they require. Stage Craft – annual talent show of the students, Cutting Edge – the show craft of the students projects unleash student′s potentials and enhance IIT student′s academic studies as outstanding individuals. 

IIT is now collaborating with the University of Westminster, London and the University of Keele, to offer their undergraduate and postgraduate programs (BSc, MSc, PhD) in IT and Business to meet identified national needs.

The Business courses will give you the computing skills to use in marketing, advertising and public relations roles.
