About Us

The Institute of Professional Computer Studies (I.P.C.S.) that brings to Ruwanpura the courses of Computer and IT education along with an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) certificate offered by the Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training.

The IPCS brings to Ruwanpura the national programme of creating a national policy for Vocational training implemented by the Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training constituted under the Vocational Education Parliamentary Act No 20 of 1990 and it is our greatest pleasure to mention that we are offering an invaluable service to the sons and daughters in our area actively contributing to this national programme.

Students , professionals and job seekers who are engaged in studies in the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) System have now got the opportunity to have access to a nationally and internationally recognized degree. They can also enter the University of Technology established, under the Parliamentary Act No 07 of 2007 and obtain a degree thereby making access to a profession which offers a higher salary.

We are extremely happy that sixty students who followed our computer courses have been were selected to the first batch of this University. It is an enormous victory the I.P.C.S. has achieved on its path to success. Further the I.P.C.S. is proud to mention that all the NVQ computer courses conducted here have been accredited.

Now the sons and the daughters of Ruwanpura are fortunate enough to get the chance of following the computer courses which are recognized internationally and they are also benefitted by the financial grants and other contributions offered to the I.P.C.S. by the Ministry Vocational and Technical Training. This NVQ certificate issued by the government and it in highly accepted in foreign countries.
