About Us

South Asian Institute of Technology and Management (SAITM) in Malabe is the first private sector ‘Green Campus’ in Sri Lanka. Certificates and degrees alone do not make education complete. Our intention is to produce educated young men and women with character through SAITM. We aim to provide affordable higher education opportunities to many prospective students.

At present there are four faculties at SAITM, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Management and Finance and the Faculty of ICT and Media. Our foreign University partners include Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy Russian Federation, Asian Institute of Technology and Management – Bangkok (AIT), Buckinghamshire New University - UK. The Deans and Heads of the four faculties are highly qualified senior academics with experience at state universities in Sri Lanka. The academic staff consists of professors and lecturers recruited conforming to guidelines of University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

The purpose built 7 storey building with approx 90,000 sq. ft. floor area situated on a 4- acre picturesque land has all modern facilities for teaching and learning with 20 lecture halls, state of the art IT, Engineering and Medical laboratories, Apple iMac laboratories, 350 seat auditorium and a dedicated student lounge spanning 10,000 sq. ft. A separate 5 storey building with approx 10,000 sq. ft. has been built for Anatomy department. Expansion including a new building for the Faculty of Engineering will commence shortly in a separate land.
